Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez was a Colombian novelist known as the Boom of Hispano-American Literature, nation in Aracata Magdalena on March 6, 1927. At the age of twenty-seven, he published his first novel La Hojarasca. after, he became a columnist for the newspaper, the spectator. He spent three years absent from Colombia in which he made great contributions to universal literature, he married Mercedes Barcha with whom he had two sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo. He won Nobel Prize in Literature in 1982, and died on April 17, 2014 in Mexico City, after a relapse in lymphatic cancer.
